Top Notch Industry Education and Training: 2018 Blockmakers Workshops Schedule Announced
“The need for hands-on training for members of our industry is critical. We’re pleased that registration for the 2018 Blockmakers Workshops is now open. Students are sure to benefit from attendance – the course content is constantly updated to keep them fresh and relevant, and networking with other producers is always helpful,” proudly stated Ron Scherer, Technical Service Representative and Blockmakers Workshop Instructor.
“The beauty of all eight Workshops is that students can apply their new skills upon returning to their plants; the ROI is immediate,” commented Duane Rondeau, Director of International Sales and Applications Engineering, who also oversees the Workshops. The 2018 schedule boasts a new 3-day class, titled Advanced Servo Vibration (ASV)/Servo Main Drive (SMD). This course is geared to teaching producers all they need to know about operating the system for maximum benefit. Producers operating cam machines with this system, and those who are considering the upgrade, are encouraged to attend.
After a successful debut in 2017, the Advanced Concrete Masonry Technology course is being offered again. This in-depth course explores all the aspects of Concrete Masonry Technology. Additionally, the 3-day Executive Session, tailored to the needs of those in upper management, is being presented in July. Lynn Barnhart, Licensing Director at Anchor Wall, participated in the course; she shared, “The Besser Executive Session is excellent! This course is a must-attend for any professional in the hardscapes or masonry business who wants to understand materials and the manufacture of masonry products.”
