Job Description

This Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, operations, and performance of the organization.

Job Functions

1. Develops and implements financial strategies that align with business objectives.
2. Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to ensure fiscal responsibility.
3. Monitors cash flow, investment strategies, and capital allocation.
4. Analyzes market trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
5. Ensures compliance with financial reporting requirements, including audits, tax filings, and regulatory mandates.
6. Establishes and maintains the company’s financial policies.
7. Understands lean concepts and initiates process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Delivers financial analysis and insights to guide executive decision-making.
9. Manages relationships with external stakeholders, such as auditors and banks.
10. Ensures that financial practices follow industry standards and best practices.
11. Manages the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and ensures compliance with regulations.
12. Takes a leading role in merger and acquisition activity, including ROI and working capital calculations along with projected cash flow requirements.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field preferred.
Experience: Ten years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred.
Skills: Excellent organizational skills and personal leadership skills required. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure and with deadlines. Good computer skills, including knowledge of business systems (familiarity with EPICORE a plus). Proficient with Microsoft Office software programs, specifically Excel.
Requirements: Must be willing to travel.

Work Environment

An office environment in a controlled atmospheric building.
