JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the mechanical design, development, and improvements of new or existing products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Originates and/or develops designs for products relating to defined project specifications.

2. Creates mechanical models and drawings of product line.

3. Creates mechanical bill-of-materials of product design.

4. Evaluates and resolves technical feasibility, design evaluation/optimization, and production issues.

5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Diploma of College Studies or Diploma of Vocational Studies in mechanical design or a related field required.

Experience: Three years of industry related experience.  Three years experience in SolidWorks.

Skills: Ability to clearly develop ideas in the form of working models and drawings. Be familiar with a variety of manufacturing processes, material programming software, business systems, and Microsoft Office software programs would be an asset. Ability to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing.
