JOB SUMMARY: The Training & Education Specialist delivers classroom and hands-on instruction, supports equipment testing, and provides technical expertise to optimize the performance of Besser product lines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Support classroom instruction at WCCT and lead training sessions as needed.
2. Facilitate and assist with equipment test runs in collaboration with Project Managers, Engineering, and external customers.
3. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-prepared WCCT facility.
4. Develop, update, and improve training materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, manuals) to ensure accuracy and relevance.
5. Perform concrete materials testing for Engineering and customer needs in accordance with ASTM standards (compression, absorption, density, etc.).
6. Assist in modernizing and updating existing Factory Manuals (FM’s).
7. Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to conduct run-offs of all equipment manufactured in the M&H division.
8. Collaborate with Engineering to refine run-off procedures (beyond “Green Book” standards) to better simulate real-world production environments.
9. Provide daily updates and weekly progress reports on equipment run-offs.
10. Train, support, and guide employees assisting with equipment run-offs to ensure proper procedures are followed.
11. Promote and enforce safe practices during all training, testing, and run-off activities, ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Concrete Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Concrete Materials Technology, or related field is preferred. Hands-on experience with Besser equipment, product lines, or production processes strongly preferred. Experience conducting equipment testing, troubleshooting, or process optimization.
Skills: Knowledge of concrete products equipment, production of products, and common plant practices. Ability to effectively communicate with customers at many levels. Mechanically and electronically inclined. Requirements: Must be willing to travel worldwide; sometimes being last-minute requests. Must be physically able to perform manual labor and lift a minimum of 100 pounds. Must have good driving record.
