Besser Brings Blockmakers® to the UK for the First Time

Besser recently marked an exciting milestone—hosting our first-ever UK Blockmakers® course. Timed just ahead of The UK Concrete Show (March 25–26), this two-day session welcomed 27 participants, representing 14 plants operated by 8 companies, eager to elevate their knowledge and skills in concrete products manufacturing.

Designed for professionals at every stage of their careers, the course delivered a comprehensive introduction to the full production process – from raw materials all the way to finished concrete units. Whether new to the industry or looking to sharpen existing expertise, attendees gained valuable insights they could immediately apply in their operations.

What set this experience apart was its balance of expert instruction and hands-on learning. Led by Fred Jacobs, Director of Training and Education, alongside Andrew Morris, Training and Education Specialist, the workshop shared proven techniques to prepare attendees for real-world application. One satisfied Plant Manager shared, “Both of my operators found the course to be interesting and greatly beneficial. They've both come back with a much better knowledge of how materials can affect the blocks they produce and are already firing ideas at me that they would like to try, to improve our process.”
