Industry Professionals Invited to Expand Expertise at 2026 Blockmakers Workshops®

Concrete industry professionals looking to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their skills are invited to attend the Blockmakers Workshop® courses being offered in 2026. Eight unique courses combine classroom instruction with hands-on, in-plant training to deliver practical insights that can be immediately applied to improve plant operations and product quality. 

New for 2026 is the All About Molds course—a focused three-day workshop designed to explore mold design, maintenance, and performance optimization. The full lineup of courses includes: • Concrete Masonry Technology • Advanced Concrete Masonry Technology • Vibrapac® • Advanced Vibrapac® • Product Handling & Curing • Electronic Controls • The ABCs of the Production Process (formerly the Executive Session) • All About Molds 

Each course is led by seasoned instructors with decades of industry experience and is held at the World Center for Concrete Technology (WCCT), located on the campus of Alpena Community College (ACC) in Alpena, Michigan. The WCCT features a state-of-the-art lab, a Besser-equipped concrete products production facility, and modern classrooms tailored for professional learning. 

Participants earn college credit for each course through ACC. Students who complete five designated workshops qualify for the prestigious Master Blockmaker designation—an honor that recognizes advanced educational achievement and leadership in the concrete products industry.
