Pipe and Precasters Gather in Orlando

Precast Show 2015 2 550 413 90
Optimism abounded in Orlando, Florida as pipe and precast producers gathered for the annual American Concrete Pipe Association’s Pipe School followed by The Precast Show and all the associated education sessions, tours and events. The presence of Besser staff was strong throughout the week. Scott Stephens and Grant Fluent instructed courses while Ryan Suszek, Gary Ericson, Travis Dye and Jerry Cowden spent their time meeting with customers and attending sessions. A record 437 producers attended the Pipe School, showing producers’ commitment to their workforce and providing the highest quality concrete pipe to the marketplace. The attendance at the three-day Precast Show, related committee meetings, education sessions and social events followed suit. On the show floor a steady flow of visitors with smiles on their faces was another indication that the construction economy is healthier. In addition to the pipe team, Denny Anderson, Tom Howell and Jeff Kern welcomed visitors from across the US and Canada who were looking to learn what’s new to upgrade their precast operations. Producers expressed interest in training and exploring new products to add to their lines. Our sales team is busy following up on leads generated. Kevin Curtis, Kari Schellie and Terri Rondeau provided support to the pipe and precast teams as well. The 2016 Precast Show will be held at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee from 3 – 5 March.
