World of Concrete Delivers Global Audience

WOC Booth 600 450 90
The World of Concrete certainly lived up to its name this year with a geographically diverse global attendance gathering to see what’s new in the concrete industry. During the show, the Besser team was fortunate to visit with people from many different parts of the world; from Algeria, China, and Suriname to Honduras, Israel, Kazakhstan, Nicaragua, and Mexico, as well as from across Canada and the US.  Their needs were just as diverse as the counties they were visiting from – some people were just testing the waters to see if they want to enter the concrete products manufacturing business, while others were looking to expand their current product lines and production facilities or diversifying into new product categories. Our booth boldly promoted the gamut of products and services provided by Besser, including our latest upgrades:  Advanced Servo Vibration (ASV) and Servo Main Drive (SMD), brakes for precast forms, and powered pipe form opener. We touted our Ni-Hard Now initiative, our ability to research and bring proprietary recycled materials to market, and our vast network of alliance partners who greatly enhance our ability to serve the ever-changing needs of our customers.   In fact, one of our partners, Omni Block, drew people into the booth with a wall sporting their unique units (that Besser makes the molds for). Denny Miller, Ed Weinmann, Brent Grier, and Robert Pavaria of Omni Block were on hand to share their product’s success stories. In addition to our presence on the show floor, we promoted our specialized World Center for Concrete Technology (WCCT) training with the donation of one Blockmakers Workshop® for the Construction Industry Management (CIM) Auction. The winning bidder for the workshop was Johnson Concrete who will be sending a student to the WCCT for training within the next few months. Besser was represented by Kevin Curtis, Duane Rondeau, John Reedy, Rodney Lang, Travis Dye, and Terri Rondeau and longtime Besser agents Nelly Gonzalez and Roberto Arce.  This team was happy to finalize a couple orders while in Vegas.  Nelly Gonzalez and Travis closed an order for pipe and block mold packages, a Vision 3 upgrade for a PH-36 pipe machine, and a Sicoma mixer.  Rodney Lang, John Reedy, and Kevin Curtis successfully sold an ASV and SMD Vibration upgrade.  Everything we heard from customers at the show points to 2016 being a great year for producers; we’re ready to assist you every step of the way! Be sure to join us at World of Concrete 2017, being held 16 – 20 January in Las Vegas. [gallery columns="4" link="file" ids="4074,4077,4080,4083"]
