The Block Interlock Station is a pre-patterning device located between the depalleter and the cuber. It utilizes powered rollers to position three standard block, then lifts the last two block up off the conveyor and rotates the block 90 degrees. The block are then lowered back onto the conveyor rollers and discharged to the cuber. The patternmaker then receives all three block at a time instead of one or two block at a time and does not need to make up the already completed tie pattern. It is recommended that 20′ (6096 mm) of lineshaft conveyor are upstream and downstream of the Block Interlock Station.
